My journey
I began my software development journey as an apprentice in 2014. Under the tutelage of generous senior developers, I completed many credible online courses and honed my skills through numerous practical exercises. My proficiency grew very quickly, and I began contributing to the main-team development output within a few months. I believe that learning in that hands-on way gave me a great opportunity to both intensely and rigorously refine my craft in real-world environments.
Now, more than 12 years later, I have grown to become a highly-skilled senior software developer. With proven and practical experience in every part of the development lifecycle, I have spent years building up a strong bank of knowledge, skills and abilities that I am able to apply across disciplines. In 2021, my responsibilities were expanded to also undertake a Product Owner role. During this time and within this position, I have overseen the transformation of many complex stakeholder requests into real and valuable end products, ensuring satisfaction across departments.
Moreover, in 2025, I started studying part-time for my bachelor's degree, 'Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence', with The Open University. I have completed two modules so far, achieving the highest possible grades. Undertaking this degree is the perfect way to explore the subjects that interest me most, allowing me to both expand my knowledge with new technologies and further my already-capable abilities with deepened history. I have a particular interest in emergent technologies, especially as I believe they need to be understood carefully so that they can be utilised in an efficient and responsible way.
Experience
Product Owner
In 2021, my position was expanded to include being the Product Owner in our Scrum team. This dual role has utilised and developed my excellent time management skills as well as my communication and reasoning abilities. Granting great experience managing a team as well as being an active part of one. I am able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical employees alike, ensuring satisfaction from high-level personnel through to our individual team members.
Software Developer
Over some 12 years, I have worked on large, multi-language and multi-currency web solutions, deployed in multiple countries. In this time, I have frequently developed new products and initiatives, alongside dealing with specific customer requests and modifications. Within this role, I have utilised numerous programming languages and frameworks, including, but not limited to, the ones listed on this page.

In progress - a bachelor’s degree in ‘Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence’ with The Open University. I am making significant progress and have earned distinction grades in all completed modules so far. Being able to formalise my considerable knowledge is proving to be a very rewarding process.
Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I)

In my expanded Product Owner role, I attended a ratified two-day course to certify me as a Professional Scrum Product Owner. Through this I gained a deeper understanding of the Scrum framework and became even more confident managing key work requirements.
